Guidelines for the Journey

1. What kind of church is the Fellowship of Christ?

We believe in the triune nature of God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day. We believe that when we repent of our sins and put our trust in Jesus that we experience the new birth. We believe in the Holy Spirit as the active power of God in our lives. We believe that there is a place in heaven for every born again believer. In short we believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2.6-8)

2. The aim of the Fellowship of Christ.

We want to use whatever strength and ability God gives us to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We know that we can play only a small part in the spread of the gospel, but we want to do what we can. This is the aim of the Fellowship of Christ.

It is as simple as A.B.C. with a D. tail added!

Attract people to come and see JESUS

Baptise and make disciples for JESUS

Create a sense of responsibility and service to JESUS

Develop thinking centred in the teaching of JESUS

3. Who can journey with us?

The Fellowship of Christ is open to anyone who wants to get to know more about God and his son, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1.25-28)

4. The journey together.

God treats each of us as individuals. He made us all different. We all move at different speeds and we all have different needs. Some have been on the Christian journey for a long time; others are just beginning (1 John2.12-14).

In the Fellowship of Christ everyone is left free to travel at their own pace. Every encouragement is given to move towards maturity in Christ, but no one is pushed (Luke24.13-32).
